The Games of Nonchalance

Distill created a series of interactive experiences for Nonchalance’s Games of Nonchalance, an “urban interactive narrative set in San Francisco".  A scavenger hunt of sorts, where a fake cult draws in followers through xeroxed posters and mythical online portals reveal clues about flash mobs featuring Frank Chu. Distill designed the first digital touchpoints of the game including the Jejune Institute website (now closed) and the Elsewhere website (also closed).

Games of Nonchalance has been featured in The Awl, The Bold Italic, Bomb Magazine, iO9, KQED, Laughing Squid, The New York Times, The San Francisco Bay Guardian, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Wall Street Journal, and Wired Magazine.
